An alleged robber was shot at a Santa Ana fast food restaurant when a customer in the drive-though line saw the robbery in progress and fired shots through a window, police said. Santa Ana Police Cmdr. May 26 at the Cozy Corner Drive-In michael Claborn said the incident occurred just after midnight on Saturday, 426 N. Harbor Blvd. When a man waiting for his food in the drive-through line saw a robbery in progress in the restaurant . The man fired several shots at the robber, shattering the drive-through window, Claborn said. “It was very dangerous, one of the employees could have been shot,” he said. The alleged robber collapsed and was taken to a nearby hospital. He was hit multiple times but was expected to survive, Claborn said. The man was arrested on suspicion of robbery. His identity was not available Saturday. Adding that the man is now wanted on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. No suspect description was available. The incident was captured on surveillance video. Which was broadcast by all news station. Chino Hills- More than 1,200 marijuana plants and 25 pounds of processed marijuana were seized when San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant Wednesday, March 14, at a Chino Hills home. The sheriff’s Marijuana Enforcement Team and Chino Hills deputies served the warrant for the illegal cultivation of marijuana at 5 p.m. According to a sheriff’s department news release at a home in the 4900 block of Copper Road. Deputies received a tip about suspicious activity at the home. Evidence was uncovered of an illegal marijuana growing operation while conducting an investigation. According to authorities evidence of utility theft also was found. The main power lines from Southern California Edison were tampered with allowing for electricity theft. According to the news release several investigations have revealed that rental properties are being used by tenants to illegally grow marijuana. Officials advise tenants and owners of rental properties to check with city code enforcement division or law enforcement agency to verify whether marijuana cultivation is allowed. Generally, large-scale marijuana growing operations are not permitted in residential areas, and Chino Hills prohibits it. The investigation and reports will be sent to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office for review once the suspect or suspects are identified. Suspects will face charges of utility theft, maintaining a drug house and cultivation of marijuana, the release stated.
